The family of James (Jim) David Eva are saddened to announce his peaceful passing on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in his 72nd year.
Jim is predeceased by his mother and father, Wilfred and Elsie Eva, his younger brother Thomas (Tom) and his niece Leanne Marie. He is survived by his brother Jack (Catherine), his nieces Kristen and Maryl and his nephews Kurt and Greg, along with numerous cousins.
Jim was a long-time resident of Waterloo where he operated a successful commercial real estate appraisal business for over 25 years. He spent a short time in Toronto with the CIBC working from the corporate real estate offices before moving back to Waterloo.
Jim graduated from KCI and then the University of Waterloo before moving to Toronto. After 35 years, he continued to enjoy the routine of playing cards every Wednesday night with his good friends. That long term relationship with the boys, turned into camping trips with the new wives and then with the new children and finally with whole families of campers who spent many memorable weeks at the Pinery and Killbear Provincial Parks. Jim loved his relationship with those friends.
Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A time of refreshments and remarks will follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room at 12:00 p.m. Interment to take place at Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Ave., Waterloo, at 1:30 p.m.
