It is with sadness that Shirley’s family announces her passing on Thursday, March 20, 2025. We are confident she is in the arms of her Saviour and reunited with her loving husband of 45 years Ronald Mills (2003) and parents Anton (1994) & Oliva (1976) Gutmann.
She will be missed by her daughters Susan Grande and Julie Mills, grandchildren Jonathan (Brittany), Jordan Grande (Brittany), Josh and Anna Orfanidis. She adored her great-grandchildren Wolfie and Norah Grande. She will be fondly remembered by her cousin John Schwalm, as well as many other in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Shirley spent all her life in Waterloo until the last few years. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran (Trillium) Church where she volunteered in the library and was a member of ELW for many years Her genuine care for those around her extended to family, and friends as well as to her fellow residents and staff at her care homes.
Our family wishes to express our thanks and appreciation to the staff of Haysville Neighbourhood at the Village of Winston Park for the support and excellent care you have provided for her.
