Obituary of Phonsine Morrison

Phonsine passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Pre-deceased by her loving husband of 64 years Vincent Morrison on June 27, 2018.   

Survived by their devoted and cherished children and their families: Son, Tony and his wife Jill Johnston and their children Madelyn, Cooper and Beatrice Morrison. Daughter, Bernadette (Morrison) and her husband Jim Birkholz and their daughter Julia Birkholz.

Phonsine was born on a farm near Dublin, Ontario, in Logan Township. She is predeceased by her parents, John Meagher (1970) and Mary Anne Meagher (Feeney – 1973), her sisters Anne and Marian and brothers Joe, Harold, John and twin Phonse.  

Phonsine will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews.

Phonsine was a member of the Catholic Women’s League (C.W.L.)

Visitation is at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 2-4pm and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 173 Lourdes St., Waterloo, on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.

A special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and staff on the 6^th floor of St. Mary’s Hospital who cared for Mom in her final days and made her comfortable. A heartfelt thank you to the team at Ontario Health atHome, and to her next door neighbours, who's assistance allowed Mom to remain in her family home for the past couple of years.
