Obituary of Leonard Francis Joseph Sherrer

We are brokenhearted to announce the passing of Leonard Sherrer, beloved husband, father, and ‘papa’. Leonard was an incredibly kind, strong and gentle man, every moment we were able to spend with him was nothing short of a blessing.

He will be greatly missed by his soulmate Katherine, and his adoring daughters Valerie (Mike) and Heather (Marc). He was a perfect role model to his six grandchildren: Tyler, Jacob, Ben, Madeleine, Matthew, and Amy. He is also survived by his siblings Mabel, Irene, Richard, and Jerome.

Paddy was born on his family farm in Linwood, ON, on October 25, 1933. He enjoyed playing cards, spending time in nature, watching the Blue Jays and the Leafs and of course, he loved Kathy’s pies. Paddy will be missed by his close neighbours, fellow card players at the Naval Club and many good friends.

Predeceased by his parents, Eleanor and Fred Sherrer, and his siblings Joseph, Alfred, Marcie, Lucy, Mary, Bill, Bernice, Margaret, and John.

As per Paddy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest at a private graveside service at Parkview Cemetery in Waterloo.

In lieu of flowers, condolences for the family and donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, 519-745-8445, www.erbgood.com.

Rest in peace, until we meet again.
