Recently drum corps lost a great man. He was a great supporter of the activity, both in heart and finance.
STEVE was a good friend of mine and someone who supported me greatly in my post marching endeavours with drum corps
There were very few who supported the activity as much as Steve did.
He was a very successful businessman, but more than that. He was a very successful human and that he had great compassion for everyone he came in contact.
And in return everyone who came in contact with him, respected him greatly even when they didn’t agree with him.
In later years, Steve was instrumental, if you’ll pardon the pun, in bring our good friend Al Chez here to Canada to help out with the activity that Al so clearly loves. He also played the big part in bringing Al and his band to perform here in Canada, something I really enjoyed being one of his honorary Canadian parts of his band
Suffice it to say that Steve lived a life of loving and being loved
He will be missed greatly by SO many more people than he even thought possible
My heart goes out to Francine, knowing the pain she must be going through at this time.
We are all behind her in whatever way we can help alleviate that pain. Whether it is through sharing wonderful memories of STEVE or sharing the load of tears that she now sheds.
Regarding the celebration of life for him at a later date, I hope there’s a stadium big enough available for that day!
Godspeed, my friend !
I’ll see you soon.
