Obituary of Kenneth Donald Araujo
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ken Araujo, a loving husband, son and devoted father, on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the age of 42.
Kenny was a kind and loving husband to Kristy and an incredible father to two sweet boys, Kai & Kayce. He served his community with unwavering courage and dedication for many years as an OPP Constable. Kenny's commitment to protecting others was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends. Kenny had a passion for fitness and Jiu-jitsu, in which he earned his purple belt. His dedication to physical wellness and discipline was a source of inspiration to many, and his love for these pursuits was a reflection of his strength and determination in all areas of life. Born in Mannheim, Ontario, Kenny also held a strong connection with his roots in Portugal. Among many other things, we will always remember Kenny for his warm smile and great sense of humour, which he maintained well until his final days, and his love of cars including his beautiful Corvette.
Kenny’s legacy of kindness, strength, and love will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and colleagues. He is survived by his wife Kristy, children Kai & Kayce, his parents Debbie and Anibal, grandmother Geraldine, siblings Steve (Nadia), Jackie (Mo), and Rebecca, and was a son-in-law to James and Sheila Parker, and brother-in-law to Dayle (Adrian) and Neil (Xee).
We will all miss Kenny immensely, but trust that he now is enjoying an ice-cold Corona on the beach and a laugh with his best friend Shaun, as well as taking his Poppa for a ride through the clouds in his Corvette.
Kenny’s family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the team at Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton, as well as to his dear friend and loving caregiver, Christine Dagenais, and to June Dunlop for all her care and support of their sweet, little boys.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 5-8 p.m. at The Hampton Inn & Suites St. Jacobs, 55 Benjamin Rd, Waterloo, ON. Hosted by Kristy Araujo
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and may be arranged at www.erbgood.com
