Dear Family of Mel Janke,
My heartfelt condolences on the loss of your loved one.
Pastor Mel confirmed me at Martin Luther Church in Kitchener in 1991. He was a wonderful pastor with a big heart and a contagious smile. He had a lot of patience and love for the young people. I remember playing games in his big basement. He was one of several pastors who guided me in my faith in Jesus during some unruly teenage years. I'm very grateful for him.
