Passed away at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph, Ontario, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 80 years old.
Survived by her children Tracey (Peter) and Shaun, her 4 grandchildren Allison (Nic), Lindsay, Skyler and Luc, and her sister Maureen and brother-in-law Raymond. Beloved Aunt to Gary, Julie, Hayley, Kerrey and their families.
Predeceased by her parents Reginald and Beatrice Colman and her sister Shelia.
Marilyn was born in England and grew up in Plymouth, in a home in Devonport Park. Marilyn moved to Canada in 1968. She lived in Toronto and worked as an office administrator for St. Clair Paint and Wallpaper and later moved north of Toronto and settled in Guilford and then Bradford, Ontario upon retirement. Marilyn was a member of Trinity Anglican church in Bradford and a volunteer with the local food bank. Recently Marilyn moved to Waterloo to be closer to family and became a member of Highland Baptist Church in Kitchener, where she volunteered on their visitation team.
Family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre for their care of Marilyn of the past week.
Visitation will take place at Highland Baptist Church, 135 Highland Rd. W, Kitchener, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Amanda McCulloch officiating. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. A private family interment to take place at a later date.
