Obituary of Mary Frances Wallace

January 9, 1945 – November 12, 2025

Mary Frances (Mary Fran) Wallace, 80, passed away peacefully at WRHN @ Chicopee (Freeport) in Kitchener on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

She is survived by her sons David and Michael, their wives Amy and Martha, and her grandchildren Ashton, Lily and Clara. She is remembered by her sister Sue and brother-in-law Norm, along with her niece Beth and nephews John, Andrew, Jeff and Tim.

She was predeceased by her parents John and Marie Walter, her husband Paul and brother David.

Mary Fran was a graduate from the University of Waterloo and worked as a teacher and librarian in the Waterloo Region. Besides spending time with family and friends, she loved to travel, and relax at the family cottage on Lake Huron.

Special thanks to her caregivers Claire, Tiffany, Tessa, Nur and Christine whose tireless dedication ensured that her final years were as comfortable and fulfilling as possible.

Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place immediately after for close friends and family in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room.
