Douglas Francis Kraemer

May 1, 1941 – November 18, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of husband, father and grandfather, Douglas Kraemer.

Douglas loved his family fiercely. He was married to the love of his life, Margaret (Peggy), for 64 years. Father of Kathie and Gary (Caroline), grandfather of Valen (Jasmine), Brennen and Seth.

Doug will be remembered for his avid love of sports and for his love of gathering with friends and family to play cards, eat, laugh and joke. Florida and his home in Waterloo were Doug’s happy places.

Predeceased by his parents, Florence and Leander, his brother Kenneth and his son-in-law Duke.

Special thanks to the staff on 5N at WRHN at Midtown and the palliative team. Their care allowed Doug to spend his last week at home.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
