Obituary of Donald Jacob Dreisinger

Don passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Hospice, Chapman House, on November 22, 2025, at the age of 91.

Beloved husband of Eva for 70 years; father to Michael (Julie) and Kim (Mike). Cherished Bumpa to Ben, Ainsley (Shawn), Alex, Jaime (Brandon), Katie (Collin); and great-Bumpa to Jayden, Carson, Ava, Chase, Cameron, and Emersyn. Predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Bernice, sister Corean (Carl), and brother Ross. Survived by sister-in-law Edith.

Don was born and raised in Kitchener. He enjoyed many summers in Port Dover at the family cottage. He was a dedicated employee of the KW Record for 31 years as Head of Maintenance. He retired in 1992 and was blessed to spend many winters in Florida and summers in Pike Bay with his family and friends. He volunteered as a coach for Waterloo Minor Hockey Association for 25 years and served on the executive as well.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Seasons Retirement Home, Owen Sound Hospital, and Grey Bruce Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Don.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Interment to follow the reception at Parkview Cemetery.
