I was very sad to have learned of John's passing from my Dad yesterday. He was a wonderful man and I have many memories of visits to John and Marion's when I was younger. Unfortunately we cannot make it to the Memorial Reception on Monday but please know that we are thinking of you at this difficult time.

John was our next door neighbor for a few years. We enjoyed our daily chats with him. It was always a pleasure to see John. He had a way of putting a smile on your face . Our condolences to the family.

Dear Nancy, Jim and Sharon,
My deepest condolences to all of you in the loss of your father and father in law. John was a good father and grandfather. He remained a cheerful and upbeat person even in difficulty and personal loss and I never heard a negative word from him about anyone. He always had something good to say about his acquaintances. I first met John in 1967 and Shirley and I spent many happy hours with he and Marion. He was fun loving and a pleasure to be with. We shared many happy stories over the years and I will remember him with kindness. A good, kind and faithful friend.

The Press family wishes to express our sincere sadness at losing dear John. He lived life to the fullest and made every day count. Always optimistic, cheerful and a true gentleman. He phoned us last fall to announce his latest adventure. He had taken a taxi to Erbsville go-carts and went out for several laps. Not bad at 91. Only problem he had was getting flagged a few times for excessive speed! We recently spoke with him about his planned trip to Florida and were so excited at the thought of his visit. Our family remembers with joy all of the fun and happy times with John. And after 62 years of close friendship, Ray is losing a wonderful friend
