Obituary of Effie Georgina Fleet

Effie passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at home in St. Jacob’s at the age of 92.

Treasured by her loving daughters, Marilyn (Rae Zinck); Dianne (Ken Goreski); Karen Luke; Heather (Eduardo Unikel); Janice (Dale Mayhew); Debbie (Rudy Kruppa); Robyn (Keith Smith) and her favourite niece Sylvia Jeffrey (Rick Powell) and stepdaughter Arlene Fleet (Donovan).

She will be greatly missed by her 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Bernie Fleet (2017) and cherished grandson Corey Mayhew (2018).

Mom was fun loving, gracious and loved being with her family.

She will be missed by her Bridge Club ladies, her neighbours at the LOFT and her many dear friends and relatives.  Mom was proud to be a lifetime member of Branch 530 of the Royal Canadian Legion.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Effie with her family during a Memorial Reception at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 3 – 6 p.m.
