Obituary of Marjorie Sleeman

Passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2019 at The Village at University Gates, Waterloo at the age of 92 years.

 

Loving mother of Patricia Bigelow (Paul), Debbie Sleeman, Mary-Ellen Sleeman and Bill Sleeman.

Cherished grandmother of Robert, Heather and Christopher.

 

Predeceased by her brother Fred Ovens (Abbie), and sisters Laura Allen (John), Queenie Wood (George) and Jean Bartlett (Dick).

 

Remembered by many nieces and nephews.

 

Marjorie was born and raised in Sarnia.  Her family had a bake shop (Ovens Bakery) for many years.  After marrying George, she moved to Sudbury and then to Val Caron where she raised her family.  She was active in her church St. James in the Valley United Church.  She moved with George to Kitchener in 1987 and was active at Calvary United Church, Kitchener.

 

The funeral service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Reception to follow the service with interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
