Wayne Seip

Obituary of Wayne Richard Seip

It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Seip announce his passing on Friday, April 15th, 2022, at the age of 71. He is survived and warmly remembered by his wife Katherine Seip (nee Jeffery), daughter Mary (Mike), son Derek, and sister Brenda (Peter). Wayne was a very proud Grandpa to Alexandra and Thea, and Uncle to Justin, Shawn and Aaron.

He was predeceased by his daughter in infancy, Amanda Jennifer, and his parents, Rita (nee Hamel) and Howard Seip.

Wayne was a letter carrier with Canada Post for 13 years, as well as a dedicated sports and music fan, enjoying many travels to follow his teams and drum corps troops. He notably proposed to Katherine on a trip to Scotland, sitting together on a bench in front of Edinburgh Castle. Wayne loved his family deeply.

Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Pinehaven Nursing Home in Waterloo, ON, and Macassa Lodge in Hamilton, ON, for the wonderful care and joy they brought to Dad’s daily life in his later years.

Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories of Wayne during visitation at Trillium Lutheran Church, 22 Willow St, Waterloo on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 12 noon to 12:30 p.m. with the funeral service following at 12:30 p.m. A reception will immediately follow the service in the church hall. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
