David Seaton Whyte Ogilvie, 91, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, on Friday, July 15, 2022.

David was born on July 12, 1931 in Gauldry, Fife, Scotland and grew up in Banchory, outside of Aberdeen. He was married to Andreina Hermiston Rodger on October 10, 1953 in Dundee, Scotland and they moved to Canada in 1956.

David and Nena lived in Port Credit, Stoney Creek, Hamilton and finally moved to Waterloo in 1966.

David was devoted to his wife Nena for 68 years, and most specifically the last 18 years, as she continues to live with dementia. Loving father to his three sons, Graeme (Deborah deceased), Brian and his wife Juanita, Bruce and his wife Sharon. Loved grandfather of Iain (Katherine), Geoffrey, Cameron (Sonya), Ashley, Megan, Erin, and great-grandfather of Braeden, William, Seaton, and Nika.

David is survived by his nieces Marion Galway (nee Ogilvie) and Barbara Kiefer (nee Ogilvie), and nephew David Ogilvie.

Predeceased by his parents William Lawson Ogilvie and Annie Dorothy Seaton (nee Whyte) and brother George Lawson Ogilvie (Catherine Mason, nee Dilly).

David was known for being a kind, generous and thoughtful man who has left a lasting legacy. He enjoyed a very long and successful career in financial services. He was formerly Vice President of H. L. Staebler Co. Ltd. before starting his own practice with his son Brian. He was a lifetime member of the M.D.R.T. (Million Dollar Round Table). He was the president of the local Advocis (formerly Life Underwriters Association) and received agent of the year recognition.

David loved the Lord. He was very active in his local church ministry and had a passion for international missions including many trips to Columbia and Mexico as part of the Board of Directors for Latin American Missions.

He was the kind of person we all aspire to be.
