Kathleen passed away, surrounded by her loving family, at Trinity Village Care Centre in Kitchener, on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the age of 91.

Loving mother of Audrey and Gerald MacCandless, Sheila Hoelscher (Harry deceased), Sharon and Murray McCutcheon, Lorne and Pat Birmingham, Eva Valade and Bruce Hill, Kathleen and Bill Green, Murray and Karen Goodwin, Bonnie Deeks, and Peggy Birmingham and Bob Coish. Cherished by 26 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Mae DeMartin. Kathleen will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband William Birmingham, parents Lorne Luckhardt and Eva Kennel, brothers Stuart Luckhardt and wife Betty, Ralph Luckhardt and wife Audrey, and two step-brothers.

Kathleen was a faithful member of Highland Baptist Church in Kitchener since her youth. She loved square dancing, dancing, playing cards, doing puzzles, and walking. Kathleen enjoyed visiting all her family and friends. No grass grew under her feet!

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. Interment at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery in Conestogo.
