Owen George Grant passed away peacefully at the Innisfree House Hospice on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the age of 91.

Owen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his partner Ginny Ferguson, sisters-in-law Paulette Grant, Jeannie Watson, and Helen Krafchek, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents John (of England) and Jesse (of Ireland), brother John (of California), wife Jackie Grant (2006), and his loving and adored Aunt Kathleen.

Owen was born on November 25, 1932 in Kitchener, and lived here all his life. He spent many successful years at BF Goodrich and Epton Industries (1952 – 1993). He was an avid golfer and long-time member at Rockway Golf and Country Club. Many good times were spent with his numerous friends at the Gage St. Army, Navy and Air Force Club, Unit #247.

Owen enjoyed his music, and there wasn’t a golden oldies song that he didn’t know. Some of his best times were sitting on the deck enjoying his backyard and listening to music, with a drink in his hand.

Special thanks to all the health care professionals who provided support and care for Owen at home since November, 2023.

A Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, February 3 from 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home’s chapel at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room.
