Obituary of Brenda Joy Welch

It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of Brenda Welch on September 29, 2024, at the age of 76. Beloved wife of James for 45 years.

Brenda was a loving mother of her four children Daniel, Carolyn (George), Erica, and Suzanne (Ryan). She was a doting grandmother to her five grandkids Ethan, Nora, Ada, Callan, and Flora. Brenda was a special sister to Mark, Don, Dana, Greg, Patti, and Emily.

Brenda had a life-long passion for Girl Guides of Canada; she was a Brownie leader for many years and continued as a Trefoil Guild member. She was extremely social and active in nature and could (and would) strike up a conversation with anyone. This is probably why she’ll be remembered so fondly by her many friends and extended family as well as all her fellow members in the biking, canoeing, Bridge, bowling, hiking, and other clubs where she was a member!

Brenda was extremely generous in spirit and over the years devoted both her time and prosperity to many charitable causes. It is with her spirit in mind that in lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to any of these charities that were close to her heart: St. Monica Place, Canadian Red Cross, Laurel Creek Conservation Centre, Shore Centre.

A Celebration of life will be held at the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
