Obituary of Bruce Grieve Richmond
Passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. He was born in Stratford 85 years ago, the son of the late Jessie (Jean) Richmond and Willson Richmond. Bruce lived in Kitchener for over 70 years.
He will be reunited with his late wife, Colene Richmond, whom he married on April 20, 1963. Bruce will be cherished in the hearts of his children, Darren and Deborah Richmond, along with their spouses, Shannon Dupuis-Richmond and Frank Anagnostopoulos. He will be greatly missed by his sister, Mary-Anne Telfer; his grandchildren, Kaylee and Adam Anagnostopoulos and Brent Simpson; his brothers-in-law, Ned and Murray Cathers; and many dear friends.
Bruce graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1962, with a degree in Chemical Engineering as part of the university’s first graduating class. Following his graduation, he worked at BF Goodrich before establishing his own business, Brulene. Bruce’s greatest legacy lies in the family he nurtured, one that was filled with love, a shared passion for sports, a love of travel, and countless card games. He founded the SilverSands Classic, a beloved tradition of bridge and golf tournaments.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are encouraged to attend a graveside service, which will take place at Chesterfield Cemetery, 816539-816675 22, Bright, ON, on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Following the service, friends and family are invited to a celebration of Bruce’s life at Dundee Country Club, 1801 Queen St., New Dundee, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
