In addition to her very prominent activities in the Psychology domain, Dr. Naidoo was also very helpful at an individual level. When I arrived at Laurier, my family was unable to join me for a year. Dr. Naidoo suggested a place where I could rent a room and have meals provided at Resurrection College and it proved to be a good suggestion which I always appreciated.
My condolences to the whole family
Lighting a candle on behalf of my 2 son's, Josephine's grandsons.
We will feel your spirit with us when we hear opera and classical music.
Seeing birds of paradise flowers will always have me think of you.
I will continue to encourage your grandson's to excel at all their academic pursuits.
Each leap year we will celebrate your long and accomplished life.
Rest in peace with your dearly beloved Jim.
Nancy and I send our condolences to Josephine's family. We enjoyed knowing Josie during her retirement years. I had the good fortune to be able to help Josie look after her home (and driveway) during her final years on Mohawk. She had many good stories to tell about her kids, grandkids and her life adventures across several countries and continents. Plus she was the most special leap year person I have ever known!
On behalf of Laurier's Department of Psychology I offer my sincere condolences to Josie's family. Josie's efforts paved the way for EDI initiatives at Laurier and elsewhere. Her legacy at Laurier and in the field of psychology is one that we hold in the highest regard. Josie's impact endures in the department's approach to social justice and education. We feel privileged that Laurier was a chapter in her remarkable life and that she dedicated so many years to our institution, enriching it in countless ways.
Please know that our thoughts are with you, and we join you in celebrating Josie’s extraordinary life and legacy.
