Petty Officer First Class Jeff Mayburry
Jeff passed away on October 29, 2024 with his wife by his side after a valiant 8 year combat with brain cancer (Glioblastoma) assisted by Dr. Karen Cameron.
Survived by his loving wife Rene, and her children Jason (Christina), and Marla (Clay), and granddaughter Addalyn, his brother Greg Mayburry (Louise), his aunt Rilla (late Ross) McRobb, and his uncle Harlen Whetham (Sharon) (late Diane). Predeceased by his parents Don and Linda Mayburry.
Jeff was proud to have served in The Royal Canadian Navy for nearly 25 years as Petty Officer First Class sailing on the
HMCS Terra Nova, HMCS Annapolis, HMCS Vancouver and HMCS Regina, followed by working as Combat Systems Quality Assurance Advisor at Lockheed Martin Canada.
Jeff was a humble soul who deeply valued friendships. His humour, wit, and sensibility profoundly impacted everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
Special thanks to Dr. Fortin, Dr. Dai (GRH), Dr. Lim-fat, Dr. Sahgal, Andrea, Denise (Sunnybrook/Odette Cancer Centre) as well as Martha, and Syeda from Home and Community Care. To our Angel Pat, Thank you for your gift in end-of-life care.
