Obituary of Julius Marton
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Julius Marton, who departed this life on December 9, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 31, 1948, in the town of Pápa, Hungary, Julius’ early years were shaped by resilience and hope. In 1956, he and his family emigrated to Canada in search of a brighter future, a journey that exemplified the courage and determination that would define his life.
Julius was a devoted family man, a cherished friend, and a pillar of strength to those who knew him. He embraced life with warmth, humor, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones. His presence was a source of comfort and joy, and his absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our hearts.
Julius is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Marton; his sons, Chris Marton (Amy) and Mike Marton; his grandchildren, Madilyn, Hailie, Mya, and Tyson Marton, who were his greatest pride and joy. He is also survived by his sister, Liz Ims (Harry). Julius’ legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew him.
A celebration of Julius’ life will be held at Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Saturday, December 14, 2024. at 11:00 a.m.
