Obituary of Ronald Edward Rumig

Suddenly passed away at his daughter’s home at the age of 85. Ron will be missed by his daughter Robin Rumig, son-in-law Scott McGann, and step-grandsons Braedon and Luke McGann. Ron was the husband to the late Linda Stoeser. Ron was the dear brother of Betty Geisel, Ray and Brenda (John) Kempel. Ron will be remembered by brother-in-law Greg (Donna) Stoeser and sister-in-laws Judy (Denny) Winderburn and Delores (Jerry) McKenna as well as all of his nieces and nephews.

Ron is the son of the late Cornelius and Matilda Rumig, and predeceased by siblings Dorthy Yosurack, Harold, Helen Bolduc, Eileen, Carl, Louise, Patricia Golbeck and Carol Ransom.

Ron was an employee for the City of Waterloo for over 25 years, leaving his handyman work all over the city. He also enjoyed driving the City of Waterloo float in the Oktoberfest parades for many years. In his free time, Ron bowled at Waterloo Lanes and played horseshoes at the Knights of Columbus.

As per Ron’s wishes, a small service will be held at Parkview Cemetery on Saturday, February 1st , 2025 at 1pm. The family asks for condolences only.
